Steve Thorne developed the master plan for Auranga, and as part of the first stage of this substantial development, he identified a key visual axis where a more vertical building would add to legibility and local identity. The developers, (Made Pty Ltd), were keen to deliver a multi faith chapel as part of a new neighbourhood centre. Steve designed this using time-honoured principles of proportion and “sacred geometry”. Construction of stage one continues with the chapel site reserved for its future construction.
